I am now in my fourth term as your state Senator for District 29.  I am also Vice Chair of the Education Health and Environmental Affairs Committee.  This is a quite fitting role for me because I get to work on the issues that are most in line with the things I care about.  I have done my absolute best to get laws passed and support legislation that improves our quality of life and protects us from harm.  I believe that as we enter a new millennium, we understand that we have more in common than we have differences.  I do not see Republican and Democrat.  I see Marylanders facing the same challenges, and wanting the same things for themselves and their families.  This is why I continue to go to Annapolis year after year with your wishes close to my heart.

I hope that the resources I have here meet your needs, and serve as a tool to educate you, your family, your classroom and your community group.  There is a great deal you can do to get involved with the Democratic process and observe your state legislature at work. The Maryland General Assembly website is cutting edge and lets you observe the actions in Annapolis as they occur.

The second and vitally important aspect to what I do is my service to you here in our special part of Maryland.  Use my website to contact our office if you need anything at all.  We always look forward to hearing from you, weather its an issue you need help with or if you would like information on a bill or Maryland law, I am here to serve you.  I am reminded daily of the importance of your participation in what I do.
